  1. Kia Ora Sophie,

It’s Shannon from the Summer Learning Journey.

Ka pai on a fantastic array of summer flavours. I love how you’ve included a combination of healthy and treat foods. They’re all so delicious, I definitely agree with your summer tastes! I also really like your descriptive words and the fact that you’ve included examples of onomatopoeia like “crunch” for the salad!

I love popsicles and strawberries! Strawberry popsicles are pretty great too! WHat’s your favourite flavour popsicle? Are strawberries your favourite fruit? Mine are nectarines!

Did you have a happy New Year?

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

  2. Good morning Sophie.
It sounds like you got some great early birthday presents.
What month is your birthday in?.(You don't have to say as I realise other people can read this)

It's so good to see you working hard on your posts.
I always enjoy looking at what the children have been working hard at.

MMMMM! This post is making me HUNGRY!.
You've used some super describing words.I especially like the ice cream one, although on a day like today I think I'd rather have something warm in my tummy.

What other activities have you been doing with your family?.
Samantha and I have been busy. One day we played Mini Golf.We went out for a coffee and cake afterwards and tomorrow we are hoping to go to Willowbank.

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
